Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Selects IFT’s Dr. Sergio C. Trindade as Contributing Author

ST. LOUIS, December 15, 2010 – International Fuel Technology, Inc. (IFT) (OTCBB:IFUE) announced today that the IPCC selected Dr. Sergio C. Trindade, IFT’s Director of Science and Technology, as a contributing author of the IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation.

The IPCC, established in 1988 by the United Nations, is a scientific intergovernmental body that assesses scientific, technical and socioeconomic information relevant to the understanding of climate change, and in particular, the risk of climate change caused by human activity. The IPCC shared the Nobel Prize in 2007.

Dr. Trindade has served as IFT’s Director of Science and Technology since 2004. Dr. Trindade is a globally recognized expert in fuels and sustainable energy. He had a long career in the private sector, served as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Science and Technology for five years and is a consultant to Multilateral Organizations and many private/public organizations on energy and environmental and technological issues. Dr. Trindade is a co-laureate of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as part of the IPCC.
